What is a Binola jute bag?

A Binola jute bag is a coarse-weave food-grade jute sack used for heavy agricultural commodities, typically up to around 90 kg loosely packed. The standard export specification is 44" × 26.5", about 2.0 lbs, 6×7 porter & shots, with three blue stripes running mouth-to-bottom on both faces, hemmed at the mouth and overhead dry-sewn. It is a lighter, more economical sack than B-Twill: same dimensions, a slightly looser weave and lower weight, which lowers cost per bag for buyers whose commodity does not need the full strength of a B-Twill. We weave Binola bags in our own mill in Bangladesh, so weight, weave, stripes, printing and food-grade treatment are controlled in-house and built to your standard.

Binola vs B-Twill: which sack do you need?

This is the question most buyers are actually asking. The two share the same 44" × 26.5" size; the difference is weave density, weight and load rating.

In short: choose Binola when you want the lowest landed cost for a sack that still carries 80–90 kg of oilseed or grain. Choose B-Twill when the commodity is high-value or fills to ~100 kg and needs the tighter twill. A full breakdown including D.W. is in our B-Twill vs Binola vs D.W. guide.

What Binola bags are used for

Binola is the workhorse sack for the oilseed and bulk-commodity trade. Buyers across Europe and the GCC use Zayin's Binola bags for:

  • Cottonseed and soybean / oilseeds, the most common Binola use, where the coarse weave breathes and the lower price suits high-volume movement.
  • Cocoa beans and cashew nuts, in the food-grade VOT version, where odour-free fabric matters.
  • Copra, wheat, rice and cereals, durable 50–90 kg sacks for bulk handling.
  • Animal feed and bulk dry goods, where cost per bag is the deciding factor.

Food-grade (VOT) Binola

Standard jute is often batched with mineral (hydrocarbon) oil, which leaves an odour that taints sensitive goods. For cocoa, cashew and food-grain buyers we supply Binola in VOT, Vegetable Oil Treated form, making it odourless and suitable for direct food contact, with declarations aligned to EU food-contact expectations (Regulation 1935/2004) available on request. If your Binola is going under oilseed or feed, the standard (non-VOT) sack is usually fine and cheaper, tell us the commodity and we will quote the right one.

Ordering: MOQ, packing & container loading

Buyer FAQ

Binola jute bag questions

What is the difference between Binola and B-Twill jute bags?

Same 44" × 26.5" size, but Binola is lighter (~2.0 lbs, 6×7) and rated to ~90 kg, while B-Twill is heavier (~2.25 lbs, 6×8) and rated to ~100 kg. Binola costs less per bag; B-Twill is stronger for premium or full-load commodities.

How much weight does a Binola bag hold?

Up to roughly 90 kg of loosely packed produce such as cottonseed, copra, oilseeds or grain.

Are Binola bags food-grade?

They can be. We supply Binola in VOT (vegetable-oil treated), hydrocarbon-free, odourless form for cocoa, cashew and food grains, with third-party inspection on request. The standard non-VOT sack suits oilseed and feed at lower cost.

What is the container load for Binola bags?

About 70 iron-bound bales of 300 bags, roughly 21,000 bags, in a 20' FCL. We confirm exact figures for your order.
