What is a B-Twill jute bag?
A B-Twill jute bag (often written "B. Twill") is the most widely traded food-grade jute sack in the world. It is woven in a tight 2/1 twill construction that gives it the tensile strength to carry heavy agricultural commodities, typically up to around 100 kg per bag, while remaining breathable and biodegradable. The standard export specification is 44" × 26.5", 2.25 lbs, 6×8 porter & shots, hemmed at the mouth and overhead dry-sewn. At Zayin we weave B-Twill bags in our own mill in Bangladesh, the source of the world's finest jute fibre, so the weave, weight, stripes, printing and food-grade treatment are all controlled in-house and built to your exact standard.
What B-Twill bags are used for
Because B-Twill is strong, food-safe and economical, it is the default sack for high-value soft commodities that move in 50–100 kg units. Buyers across Europe, the UK and the GCC use Zayin's B-Twill bags for:
- Coffee, green beans (often the 60–69 kg export units), where odour-free VOT treatment protects cup quality.
- Cocoa beans, breathable sacks for ~65 kg fermented and dried beans.
- Sugar, grains, rice, wheat and pulses, durable 50–100 kg sacks for bulk handling.
- Nuts and seeds, cashew, shea and hazelnut in food-grade sacks.
